As they approach adulthood they are more likely to experience relief from these severe conditions. Many children suffer from chronic headache for long stretches throughout their childhood. But these conditions often elevate as they grow older or just before they reach early 20s. This new study has been good news for many chronic sufferers. At least 88% of such sufferers have been reported to get relief from their conditions while only 12% could be going on to suffer for some more in their adult life.

The July 15th issue of Neurology magazine states that teens who all experience migraine usually don’t experience these as adults. This is a good thing to have migraines in your teens as adult migraines can be related to a lot more diseases in the body.

Long term research and study on migraine sufferers has also revealed that chronic headache in children or in adolescents is not one of the protracted diseases. They usually go or come with different triggers which may not affect the person long term.

Only 30 weeks may be enough to form this amazing machine called the human brain. There are many short term memory related neurons that form the intrinsic parts of the human brain. Dutch researchers have reported that this is giving scientists new evidences of the formation of the central nervous system. The Centre for Genetics, Reproduction and Child Health at the Maastricht University Medical Centre in Netherlands show that this study aims to pin point the major functions of the intrauterine neurological developments of the human system.

This new resource have been said to be a real breakthrough for researching on what goes on within the stages of development of the fetuses. But any medical study for this purpose was posing to be dangerous for the study for the fetuses and so these experiments have been stopped in any massive way.

The nap not only gives the caretakers a break to take rest it also helps the children by reducing their anxiety level, hyperactivity and depression. The study was carried on for a period of 3.4 weeks with inputs from parents and caretakers about their children’s nap timings.

Accordingly there were two categories of students those who take a regular nap (77%) and those who don’t (23%). The end of this study revealed the fact that in the age group of 4 to 5, children who took a timely daytime nap showed reduced levels of hyperactivity, depression and anxiety. The study also advised the parents to insist this day time nap as a necessary one and asked them to make it a point to take some rest as it would encourage children to develop this habbit.

The study also points towards some disappointing results considering the huge disparity in protecting against tetanus, cough and diphtheria between the different classes of society.

The study has been published in the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine May issue. According to the researchers more and more families with low incomes are getting their kids vaccinated at time for almost all vaccines.

Noticing the disparity between high and low income families’ kids, the researchers found that the gap was getting narrower for three vaccines, and it was enhancing for DTap vaccine.

Dr. Mark Diamond, a pediatrician at Pittsburgh Kids Hospital, says in this connection: “Though some progress has been made, yet we can see a long way ahead and we are quite hopeful to achieve further progress for timely vaccination and we need to improve health care systems and increasing the awareness of the parents for kids program.”

It was in 1994 when Kids Vaccine Program (VCP) was formed with the very aim to offer low-cost or free vaccines for low-income kids. VCP was established in 1989-191-91 after measles resurgence in some parts of the country. Children from minorities were particularly affected the kids from minorities.

In their study, which includes 232,000 children, the researchers found that most of kids from low-income families are getting timely vaccination.

Repeatedly, parents realize something in not right with their children, but found nothing to satisfy their curiosity. Sometime autism shows the clear symptoms but sometime it’s hard to diagnose. In such situations it is parents’ duty to take certain steps. As a responsible parent you know your child better than anyone else, so if any thing wrong with your child and you feel it, take immediate step to deal with it.

First step that every patient should take is talk to your child’s pediatrician and discuss all the observations you have made about your children. If the pediatrician is competent and supportive, work with him/her to diagnose autism and early treatment as soon as possible. If you find that pediatrician don’t have enough knowledge find some one else. You can find non-profit organizations or school serving children with autism or you can also check any friend or neighbors which have had experience of autism.

Networking is important for both parents and children suffering autism. You will find support and resources for the best available options of diagnosis and treatment. Since autism affect one out of 150 children, researchers have developed many programs to help these children and their families. In this way you can improve the quality of life of your child.

Being a parent you are the only one who know the best about you child, even with enough information also ask questions until you are satisfied. It might take your extra time but you are responsible to help your child and make his life better.

The researchers observed that apart of being detrimental to eyesight, shoot’em games like Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead or Counter Strike offer superb training to contrast sensitivity.

Contrast sensitivity is the capability to detect minute changes in shades of grey adjacent to even surroundings, and is crucial to routine activities such as reading or night driving. This ability is found to be degraded with age.

As in action games, players usually target and shoot figures which appear abruptly on a computer screen, the same phenomenon involves in the correction for at the level of the eye optics in order to achieve better contrast detection by glasses or laser surgery, one of the researchers explained.

“It is quite surprising that without making this correction by medical aid, we can help our brain to use the information effectively which is received from our retina”, the lead researcher said.

Now the most important question is how to put a limit on playing action games? In order to get benefits from these rather receiving harmful effects, because excess of everything can lead towards unwanted outcomes.
