			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://qualityhealthguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/child-care1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-642" title="child-care" src="http://qualityhealthguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/child-care1.jpg" alt="child-care" width="300" height="262" /></a>The annual meeting of Associated Professional Sleep Societies, in Seattle revealed interesting news to the public on June 8 that children taking daytime naps enjoyed greater benefits than those who did not. The nap not only gives the caretakers a break to take rest it also helps the children by reducing their anxiety level, hyperactivity and depression. The study was carried on for a period of 3.4 weeks with inputs from parents and caretakers about their children’s nap timings.</p>
<p><span id="more-641"></span>Accordingly there were two categories of students those who take a regular nap (77%) and those who don’t (23%).  The end of this study revealed the fact that in the age group of 4 to 5, children who took a timely daytime nap showed reduced levels of hyperactivity, depression and anxiety. The study also advised the parents to insist this day time nap as a necessary one and asked them to make it a point to take some rest as it would encourage children to develop this habbit.</p>

Since, a long time aggression and depression have been regarded as a threat to develop heart disease.</p>
<p>The new study seems to complement this concept. When as an experiment some patients, implanted with defibrillators, were asked to recall an infuriating episode, in the meanwhile the doctors were counting their EKGs (electrocardiograms). During this process, some patients were found with EKG variations similar to irregular heartbeats which can be detected during a routine heart check up by doctor. Patients who are on medication like Effexor could also resulted in variants during routine checking.</p>
<p><span id="more-147"></span>The same thing is done in cardiac arrest in which electrical system of heart functions unpredictably and heartbeat suddenly stops. And a prompt electrical shock by a device defibrillator is needed for the survival.</p>
<p>It’s a fact that there is an obvious connection between the brain and heart but this is still a mystery that why brain sends these negative impulses to heart which directly affect the cardiac cells. Anger reducing techniques are also under study to reduce the risk of cardiac arrest in the patients with irregular heartbeats.</p>
<p>Research is unable to answer whether anger or negative emotions have the same effects on healthy people or just confined to the cardiac patients. Moreover, can it be able to predict anger spikes in many more patients?</p>

<p>People aged up to 24 years were considered in the finding, evaluating the expenses spend on their specific health conditions. The targeted conditions lists alcohol and drug abuse, behavioral problems including depression, anxiety, mental illnesses and emotional disorders like schizophrenia.</p>

<p>It was found that annual cost for treatment and recovering lost productivity reached up to $247 billion. This cost is exacted towards the specified health care, all the rest spent on youth are excluded. They are education, social welfare, criminal justice, and work life problems resolves. If added all, the estimated price would have shot high.</p>
<p>The panel instigated the White House to counter the problem and work in cooperation with the government to bring about fruitful results. National Research Council and Institute of Medicine set up the panel which advises U.S policy makers.</p>
<p>Expense estimation came as many lawmakers and U.S government are seeking effective ways to improve health care measures. The healthcare services are costly in the U.S but lacking quality. Though school based programs have been effective in preventing certain mental health and behavior disorders leading to drug and substance abuse.</p>
<p>Many low level projects are working to cater the problems but the governmental lead is missing which the panel looks forward to. A positive and quick response from the White House will certainly be helpful.</p>
